Let’s detail both partnerships below: Working with Herman Cook Volkswagen in Encinitas We partnered with Herman Cook Volkswagen to install a new 65-kilowatt solar system that is capable of producing enough power to completely offset their historical one year kilowatt consumption. This is 104% of their historical annual electricity usage!  In addition, we have also developed a partnership that offers Herman Cook Volkswagen electric-vehicle buyers a package of clean-energy solutions. These include solar installation, or battery storage and connectivity. If a customer wants to install solar or a battery in addition to their new electric car - we are offering great incentives that can help. This partnership is the first of its kind between an auto dealer and solar company in San Diego County and is a natural fit towards encouraging Californians to electrify their lives and claim their energy independence.  Herman Cook Volkswagen General Manager and co-owner Connor Cook noted this about our partnership: "First off we are thrilled to be making the move to solar. I'm excited to be on the forefront of this and contributing to the clean energy movement."  Working with Capistrano Volkswagen/Mazda We have installed two solar systems on Capistrano Volkswagen and Mazda - installing a combined 134kW solar system on the two dealerships.  The Mazda facility installation will produce enough power to offset 100% of the kilowatt hour consumption. On the flip side, the Volkswagen facility will produce enough power to offset 68% of the kilowatt hour consumption. Our strategic partnership will offer Capistrano VW/Mazda customers who purchase electric vehicles a suite of clean energy solutions. We make it easy for customers to go solar, obtain battery storage, and EV connectivity to power their cars with energy from the sun. Stellar Solar Customers Who Have Electrified their Lives Let us give you an example of a Stellar Solar customer who has solar panels, electric cars, and home batteries to charge those cars with the sun.  Our customers are saving money short-term with incentives, and also saving money long-term via energy savings. In actuality, there are strong incentives for Californians who want to get a solar system, home battery, or electric vehicle. Folks who purchase one of the above will save money over time. Folks who purchase all three achieve the ‘solar trifecta’, which has the potential to save you serious money.  On top of this, many of our customers are achieving “Zero Net Energy”. This is a concept that Stellar Solar customer Peder Norby puts into practice. How? He powers his entire life using sunshine energy. First, Peder had Stellar Solar install his solar system. Next, he obtained electric vehicles and home batteries.  Since then, he has eliminated all his power and gas bills. This has saved his family thousands of dollars over the years.  In fact, the Norby family recouped the cost of their $29,750 solar installation in under 5 years. At one point, Peder has estimated that his family saves over $750 each month in gasoline and electricity bills. On top of this, he has calculated that they have saved roughly $250,000 since 2012 when their solar system was installed. Let’s recap the incentives available: California Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP): Want an easy rebate? This one promotes clean vehicle adoption for California residents with rebates up to $4,500. California Clean Fuel Reward: This is a great rebate for California residents who buy (or lease) new Battery Electric (BEV) or Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) cars that are worth up to $1,500. 26% Federal Solar Tax Credit: This is a strong tax credit which is worth 26% of the cost of your solar installation. It’s available through the end of 2022.  Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP): These are financial incentives to homeowners who install renewable energy generation and storage systems.  If you have an electric vehicle, Stellar Solar installs electric car chargers and solar panels to compliment your exciting new purchase.
